EMAS - Regulation CEE 1836/93(N.B. You can find the new EMAS Regulation (EC) 761/2001 in the User Area) To participate in the EMAS the enterprise must equip for making front to a series of successive fulfillments, as from the following scheme:
After having verified if the industrial site is conforming to all the laws and pertinent environmental rules, the enterprise must arrange above all of Environmental Politics, with which it is undertaken to the continuous improvement of the environmental performances of own activities (you see following scheme).
Afterwards it must to implement the Initial analysis of the site relatively to the aspects brought in attachment 1, point C, of the rule EEC 1836/93. It owes in practice to analyze products, trials, services, in optics to appraise the consequences that industrial activity in matter determines on the surrounding environment. Subsequently it must define a Program of improvement of the situation emerged by Initial analysis, and it must structure an Environmental Management System that is consistent with the Politics, and that is able to manage the Program (see following scheme).
Finally it must compile a Environmental Declaration that will be submitted to Validation from accredited Checkers. The validated Environmental Declaration is sent to the competent organism, that provides to the registration of the site in the European register of the conforming sites to the rule EEC, and contemporarily it authorizes the publication of the validated environmental declaration and the use of the LOGO.
